Please explain what is the purpose of the Check box " Posting without Tax allowed" in the GL master data?

Posting without tax allowed means that even if you do not indicate any tax code in the line item, you will still be able to post. If for example, in the tax category, you input * or > or < 


and If posting without tax allowed is not ticked, the system will prompt you to enter tax code.
